Signing in with Facebook
Logging in with Facebook requires some information from Facebook to be shared:
- public profile: to ensure we can post your CarJam like to your profile
- friend list: to post your CarJam like to your friends list
- email address: to enable the actual registration with CarJam
- likes: to check the user actually liked us and provide the extra 5 basic reports
These functions are part of the mechanism Facebook requires to support "signing in with Facebook" for convenience, alternatively you can login with CarJam as normal using just your email address.
Release of information to third parties
Personal information will not be released to third parties except to further the purpose for which you provide the information, or if release is required by law or is pertinent to judicial or governmental investigations or proceedings. There are no other circumstances under which we will provide or sell personal information to third parties.We release account and other personal information only when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law; facilitate court proceedings; enforce or apply our terms and conditions; or protect the rights, property, or safety of CarJam Online Limited, our users, or others.
No computer tracking of identifiable information
Our computer is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information about its visitors. It does recognize the home server of visitors, but not e-mail addresses.It recognizes the site where a visitor clicked to get to the carjam.co.nz website, but we cannot identify the visitor or the visitor's address. Site information is used to confirm participation in our referral program, and may be used to advise participants of the number of visitors who come to the carjam.co.nz site from their websites. No personal information is collected.In addition, our website tracks information about the visits to our web site. These details are sourced from the NZTA Motor Vehicle Register and only retained by CarJam for 1 month as per legislative requirements.
